Garden to table recipe: Homemade treats for your honey

Your honey might be a dirt digger but so long as he or she isn't a gold digger, we have just the homemade treat for you to make their Valentine's Day sweet! Try this recipe for Honey Chocolate-Covered Strawberries. It's easy and you can find all of the ingredients you'll need at your local grocery store. We do recommend, however, visiting us to pick up a jar of our GSCO honey–the most important ingredient!

Honey Chocolate-Covered Strawberries

Ingredients:

1 cup virgin coconut oil

3/4 cup cocoa powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon chocolate extract

1/3 cup honey (GSCO if possible)

20 fresh strawberries

Dash of salt

Directions:

Wash and dry strawberries to set aside. Place honey in small bowl and warm by placing the bottom of the bowl into warm water. Repeat this process for the coconut oil. Mix warmed honey, coconut oil, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, chocolate extract and salt in a bowl. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Dip strawberries individually in mixture and place on baking sheet. Cover carefully and place in the freezer for about 20 minutes allowing the chocolate to harden. Serve to your honey and enjoy!
